Acquisition of expertise in laboratory animal science via e-based learning tools ("LAS interactive")

The course is designed to impart theoretical knowledge and comprises a general part (basics of laboratory animal science) and a species-specific part (mouse incl. surgical interventions).

It is mandatory to successfully pass the theoretical examination prior to attend the practical course which takes place for rodents at the ZVH. The hands-on training is done under guidance and supervision of experienced ZVH staff. Successful completion of this practical part is confirmed by an Animal Welfare Officer.

This form of education is available all year round and also in English language.
